B.F. Environmental Consultants based in Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Poconos region has been providing professional geological soils hydrogeological environmental consulting services since 1985. The company specializes in the following areas: hydrogeological and wastewater evaluations for siting land-based wastewater disposal systems; soils consulting (soil scientists), environmental monitoring, overseeing the siting, exploration, and development of community/ commercial water supply sources; environmental training/ professional training courses, and other environmental services.

Because of Mr. Oram background in Environmental Pollution Control and research on removal mechanisms for the parasitic protozoan Giardia, B.F. Environmental Consultants has been involved with the evaluation of surface and groundwater supplies for the purpose of determining if Giardia is present or if the groundwater source was directly under the influence of a surface water body and has been involved with the preparation of Sourcewater Protection Plans, Private Well Ordiances, and Regional Watershed/ Groundwater Assessments. Geothermal - Evaluation and Rehabiliation of Exisitng Geothermal Systems and Developing Design Specifications for Geothermal Systems Using Mine Water in PA.

SRBC/ DRBC - Consumptive Water Withdrawal for Spring Water Development (> 100,000 gpd) - Consumptive Water Withdrawal for Golf Course Irrigaiton (> 100,000 gpd). Evaluation of Graywater Reuse for Golf Course Irrigation and Landscape Irrigation (Luzerne, Monroe, and Pike County).

Completing Preliminary and Detailed Hydrological Investigations, Nitrate Loading Evaluations, Groundwater modeling, and developing for groundwater monitoring plans for proposed spray irrigation, drip irrigation, and conventional large-volume land-based wastwater disposal systems (Design Flows ranging from 5,000 to over 1.5 MGD).

Wellhead Protection and Groundwater Capture Zone Analysis and Sourcewater Protection Plans for the development of water supply protection plan for Community Water Supplies in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Community Water Supply Development - Fracture Trace Analysis - Groundwater Resource Evaluations and Feasibility Studies in Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wayne County. Production flows ranging from 10,000+ to over 1,500,000 gpd.

Spring Development Projects, Groundwater Sources and Hydrogeological Evaluations for Bottled Water Facilities ranging from 35 to over 200 gpm- Carbon, Luzerne, Lackawanna, Monroe, Susquehanna, Wyoming, and Pike County, PA , NY, and WV.

Evaluating the Use of Constructed Wetlands System, Drip Irrigation, Spray Irrigation and Evapotranspiration Systems for treating wastewater from a single family residence, agricultural waste stream, and low impact development and making recommendations regarding system configuration, pretreatment, design, and operation.
